No Bond For Man Accused In Fatal Carjacking

The man accused in a fatal carjacking at a metro gas station has been denied bond.

On Wednesday, a Douglas County judge ordered that 37 year old Antwan Lovejoy should be held without bond. Lovejoy is facing a First Degree Murder charge in the shooting death of Andrew Peek.

Prosecutors say the entire incident was captured on video.

Omaha Police say 27 year old Peek was shot while pumping gas at the Bucky's on 30th and Dodge Bucky's store around 6:00 Sunday morning. Investigators say Lovejoy shot Peek before he and another man stole Peek's car and fled the scene. Peek was transported to the hospital where he later died.

Lovejoy was taken into custody on Tuesday and is scheduled for a preliminary hearing on September 24th.
