An Omaha woman suffered critical injuries after she was hit by a car near 26th and Ames Avenue around 1:30 Sunday morning.
Police say 37-year-old Ameca Hatten got out of her vehicle during a possible disturbance while in the street. She walked into the westbound traffic lanes on Ames when she was hit by a passing vehicle.
Hatten was rushed to the hospital with serious injuries to her pelvis, abdomen and head. They are possibly life threatening.
The driver of the other vehicle was not injured and has not been cited. The investigation is ongoing.
