The Nebraska Balloon and Wine Festival moves to its new home this weekend.
The 12th annual festival has made a move this year to Leo Royal Park just south 204th and Cornhusker. The Balloon and Wine Festival will feature a local wine showcase with award winning wines available for tasting. Hot air balloons will start making their ascent around 7:00 both Friday and Saturday night. Gates will open at 5:00 to give spectators an early glimpse at the hot air balloons as pilots assemble them for their flights.
In addition to the wine tasting and hot air balloons, there will also be food, live entertainment, shopping in the Marketplace Village and a kids area complete with pony rides, face painting, inflatable bounce and obstacle courses.
The festival runs from 5:00 PM to 11:00 PM on Friday, August 10th and from 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM on Saturday, August 11th. You can find more details here.
