Omaha Police say a 29-year-old Plattsmouth man was involved in a crash Tuesday night that covered several blocks before the vehicle slammed into a power pole.
At around 4:15 p.m. officers were called to 30th and Washington to investigate the crash. They learned that prior to the crash the 2002 Chevy Suburban was traveling eastbound on Drexel, left the roadway and went through a chain link fence at 36th Street.
The Chevy crossed the yard and struck a parked Pontiac Bonneville. The force of the crash caused the Pontiac to hit a house at 3630 Drexel St. The Chevy then left the scene, eventually turning northbound on 30th St.
Just north of 30th and Washington, the Chevy left the roadway and striking a wooden power pole. James Hamilton was transported to Nebraska Medicine with possible serious, but non-life threatening injuries.
Police believe speed and drugs were a factor in the crash.
