Authorities Identify Body Found In Southeast Iowa

Law enforcement in Iowa have identified the body of a young woman found in southeast Iowa Sunday morning.

The Lee County Sheriff's Office have identified the woman as 20 year old Sadie Alvarado. Alvarado's body was found early Sunday morning on a gravel road in rural Lee County, about five miles southwest of West Point. The circumstances surrounding her death haven't been released yet.

Authorities say 28 year old Damian Hamann, of Morning Sun, Iowa, turned himself into authorities on Sunday. Hamann has been charged with Leaving the Scene of an Accident Resulting in a Death. 

An autopsy has been scheduled for Alvarado on Tuesday. The case is remains under investigation.
