Omaha Police say five people were injured in a two vehicle crash at 65th and Ames Avenue around 5:45 Thursday evening.
Investigators say 35 year old Thomas Weeks was driving eastbound on Ames in a reckless manner. Weeks tried to turn northbound onto 65th Avenue and was struck by a westbound Volkswagen Jetta. Weeks and four people in the Jetta were taken to the hospital for treatment.
Weeks was cited for second offense DUI, reckless driving, open container and no seat belt restraint.
