Another Pot Bust On I-80

The Nebraska State Patrol made another drug arrest, this time on I-80 near Cozad.

State troopers arrested to men and seized 94 pounds of marijuana during a traffic stop at 9 p.m. Tuesday.  The trooper stopped a westbound 2018 Ford F-150 for failing to signal.  During the traffic stop the trooper's K9 detected an odor of the drug coming from inside the vehicle. 

Troopers searched the pickup and found the drugs with an estimated street value of $282,000.

The driver is identified as 26 year old Michael Hedges and one passenger as 25 year old Brandon Cannon.  Both men are from Oregon.  They were arrested for possession of marijuana - more than one pound, possession with intent to deliver, and no Drug Tax stamp. Both men were lodged in Dawson County Jail
