Family Continues To Search For Missing Omaha Mother

It has been months since Camisha Hollis was last seen and still, local law enforcement have found no leads that could help them locate the missing mother of three.

Hollis was last seen by her children who saw her the night before she was reported missing in early April. Hollis' oldest daughter told police the last time she saw her mom, Camisha was fighting with her boyfriend, the children's father.

Since she went missing, Camisha's family, friends and law enforcement have been searching for her and some are getting frustrated with the efforts to locate the woman.

Jennifer Hulett is an organizers who is forming search parties to look for Hollis, and she tells 6 News that they are now looking into finding help from outside the state. “We’ve also contacted a private investigator out of North Carolina to see if he can help us.”

Hulett doesn’t believe the police are doing enough to find Hollis. “Because we don’t hear from the police department anymore. We’ve tried to contact the chief several times and we are not getting any response from anybody."

Douglas County Attorney Don Kleine tells 6 News that they are continuing to work on this case. “There’s a tremendous amount of work that’s been done and there’s a lot of work that’s still ongoing. The police aren’t letting up. And obviously they’re working very hard. We’re being apprised of what’s going on and briefed about the different pieces of evidence in this case and we’ll see where that leads."

Hulett says Camisha's family is still holding out hope, but they need help. “If you’re a mother, a father, a grandpa, a grandma and aunt, a uncle, a daughter, a sister – come help us.”

Hulett says she is easy to find on Facebook if you want to help in the search for Camisha Hollis.
