Unresponsive Infant Found At Two Rivers State Park ID'd

The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office have identified the infant who died after being found unresponsive at Two Rivers State Park last Friday.   

Deputies continue to investigate the circumstances that led up to the death of three-month-old Miguel Futrell.  Authoeities say Miguel was with his mother, Asia L. Sovey, of Fremont, and other family members when he was discovered not breathing and unresponsive in a tent on the campgrounds on July 20th.  

Emergency crews arrived at the park around 8 a.m. CPR had been started by the child's family and continued when Waterloo Fire and Rescue arrived on scene. 

Futrell was transported by Waterloo Rescue to Lakeside Hospital where he was pronounced dead. An autopsy was performed the next day and investigators are awaiting the results.
