Man Held Against His Will After Arranging To Meet An Online Escort

A 24 year old Lincoln man is behind bars after allegedly holding a man against his will Tuesday morning.

Lincoln Police say around 6:00, a 35 year old man flagged officers down at the Northeast police substation to report that he had been held against his will and injured from a gunshot. 

The victim told officers that he had used an escort service online to meet a female and when he arrived at the residence to meet the woman, he was approached by two men. The man said he was then forced into the basement at gunpoint, pistol whipped and told to remove his clothing. The victim said one of them men fired a gun towards him, which grazed his stomach. 

The men took the victim's wallet and cellphone and held him for approximately 4 hours.  Officers executed a search warrant at a home near 45th and Huntington and once inside, they found one spent shelling casing on the floor. 

One suspect, 24 year old Nathan Shepard, was arrested for Terroristic Threats. The investigation is ongoing.
