A man is behind bars after trying to break into a couple's North Omaha home, while naked.
Omaha Police Department responded to the call about a nude man attempting to break-in at a home near Fontenelle Boulevard on Sunday afternoon.
Ida Connolley, her husband and a roommate live in the home where 34 year old Damion Bailey tried to break in. Connolley told 6 News she was sitting on her deck when she saw Bailey walking down the street and darting through traffic.
Connolley says the man came in her yard and up onto her porch. "In all my history of time I have never experienced anything like that. That man was vicious. Demon, whatever you want to call him."
Once on the porch, Connolley says Bailey started getting physical. “He starts pushing on my husband and we get in the house and he cracked our door. He kept banging and banging and I’m screaming for help."
She said she remembers Bailey saying crazy things to her while trying to break in. “I know who you are he said, you're the slave master. He had no clothes on."
According to a police report, when the responding officers arrived to Connolley’s home, Bailey was still kicking the door trying to get inside.
Connolley said she still shakes in fright from what happened and says she has some advice for others. "Beware! Don't open your door. If you see anything weird, get in the house as fast as you can."
Bailey was taken to CHI Health Immanuel where he was medically cleared and then arrested for Attempted Burglary and Disorderly Conduct.
