Water Levels Expected To Stay Above Normal For Remainder Of The Summer

High water levels on the Missouri River won't be going anywhere any time soon.

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers says they have increased the amount of water being released from Gavins Point Dam at the Nebraska-South Dakota border in late June. Officials say they released higher levels because of the amount of spring rain and snow fall in the mountains.

Levels are expected to stay above average through the fall.
