Prison Sentence For Man Who Failed To Register As Sex Offender

A 32 year old man was sentenced in federal court in Omaha today for failing to register as a sex offender.  Chief Judge Laurie Smith Camp sentenced Lucas Lacy to 18 months in prison.  After his release, Lacy will be under a 10 year term of supervised probation.

Lacy was sentenced to 60 months in prison in February of 2009 for receiving and distributing child pornography.  After his release he began a five year term of supervised release.  It was during that time his release was revoked and he was sent back to prison for nine months.

On November 7, 2017, Lacy was arrested in Omaha.  He failed to register his address with the Nebraska Sex Offender Registry.

Sex Offender Registry violations are investigated by the United States Marshal Service.
