CoCo Key Water Resort Closed After Failed Health Report

Following a failed health inspection on Friday the doors at the CoCo Key Water Resort near 72nd and Grover have been closed.

The Douglas County Health Department report indicated that the minimum needs were not met by the water resort.

The lazy river attraction had a number of issues such as needing its bottom resurfaced to avoid injuries. Sand in the bottom of the pool due to a bad filter, pool lights not working and an inability to find lifeguard certifications were also some of the main concerns.

Health inspectors also found first aid kits in need of refilling.  There is no word yet on when the attraction will be re-opened. The resort is connected to the Ramada Plaza hotel.  The hotel remains open.
