Omaha Man Critically Injured In Interstate Crash

An Omaha man was critically injured when his pickup went off the interstate and rolled down an embankment Sunday afternoon.

Police say it happened on I-680 Northbound between West Center and Pacific around 3:30. The investigation revealed that a black 1997 Chevy K1500 pickup had a rear tire blowout. The pickup veered off to the east, left the roadway and rolled at least twice down the grass embankment.

44 year old William Travis was transported to CHI Bergan Mercy ER for treatment of possibly life-threatening chest injuries.

His passenger, 43 year old Carilyn Travis, suffered minor abrasions.
