An Omaha man is recovering from injuries and a Council Bluffs man is in custody in the aftermath of what police say was a road rage incident on Interstate 480 Wednesday night.
Officers were called to southbound 480 just south of Martha Street around 6:30 to investigate an injury accident. Police say that incident apparently stemmed from a road rage confrontation between 42 year old David Beckman, of Omaha, and 44 year old Jason Seaman, of Council Bluffs.
Police say Beckman was a passenger in a vehicle stopped on the interstate when he got out and attempted to confront Seaman who was at the wheel of a Nissan Rogue. Investigators say Seaman sped away and hit Beckman in the process.
Beckman was taken to Nebraska Medicine with a serious pelvic injury. He was cited for Disorderly Conduct. Seaman was arrested for Leaving the Scene of a Serious Personal Injury Collision.
