Man Attempts Armed Robbery; Ends Up Behind Bars

A would-be robber is behind bars after attempting to get money from a man at gunpoint. 

Council Bluffs Police say officers were called to the Walgreens on East Broadway for a robbery call. When officers arrived, they found the victim who said he was in his vehicle nearby on Franklin Avenue, when 38 year old Bryan Coulter came up to the window and demanded his money and phone. 

The victim told Coulter no and that was when Coulter pointed a handgun at him. Coulter was unable to operate his weapon and left the area.

Officers were able to locate the vehicle that Coulter left in and once the victim was able to positively identify him, Coulter was taken into custody. He was booked in at the Pottawattamie County Jail for 1st Degree Robbery, Felon in Possession of a Firearm, Carrying Weapons, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and an outstanding warrant.
