New Location For Bellevue Riverfest Celebration

Floodwaters from the Missouri River has forced officials in Bellevue and Council Bluffs to change locations for a couple of festivals.

Next weekend's Riverfest celebration in Bellevue was forced to move from Haworth Park across the street to American Hero’s Park after rising floodwaters inundated Haworth.

Bellevue Chamber of Commerce CEO Jim Ristow says the barbque comeptition will be the only event canceled because they won't have access to the campground at Haworth.

"But as far as our food vendors, the carnival, helicopter rides and live music, we've got that rocking and rolling," Ristow says.

This weekend Council Bluffs officials had to move the Great American Lobster Fest from Tom Hanafan River's Edge Park to the north Parking Lot of Mid-America Center.
