Bellevue Man Accused Of Killing His Wife Makes Court Appearance

A Bellevue man who turned himself in to police after killing his wife appeared in Sarpy County court on Tuesday.

Authorities say Brandon Norton turned himself in to police on June 5th saying he had murdered his estranged wife 32-year-old Jennifer Norton. Bellevue Police say Brandon told officers that he killed Jennifer during a domestic clash in their Bellevue home on the night of June 4th. He also told them he disposed of her by dropping her body into the Missouri River from the Highway 34 Bridge. Jennifer's body was found days later in the Missouri River near Plattsmouth.

In court on Tuesday, prosecutors said Norton's children were witnesses in the home where the crime allegedly occurred.

Norton's preliminary hearing is continued until next week and he will remain in jail without bond.
