Police Investigate Shooting At Irvington Walmart

Omaha Police are investigating after a shots were fired Monday night outside the Irvington Walmart.

Authorities say a fight began inside the store at 99th and Military and spilled out into the parking lot. It was in the parking lots that the shots were fired and then another altercation began. Police on the scene were told that possible suspects had fled in a red van.

Officers located the van at 108th St. and Corby St. and pulled the vehicle over. Two men inside the van, 20 year old Wilbert Pollard and 23 year old Joshua Scott, were taken into custody.

Scott was booked on a number of charges including Discharging a Firearm at an Occupied Structure, Use of a Weapon to Commit a Felony and Unlawful Transport of a Firearm. Pollard was booked for Accessory to a Felony.

There were no injuries reported as a result of the gunfire, and officers did not locate a victim at the scene. This is the same Walmart where a woman was murdered in the parking lot in April.
