Operation Targets Sex Trafficking In Metro Area

The FBI Omaha Field Office announced the results of operations targeting sex trafficking in the Omaha area.  Twenty-two people were arrested. 

The FBI coordinated Child Exploitation Task Force investigates violent crimes against children and conducts operations targeting persons conducting or soliciting prostitution.  The operation was conducted in Omaha on June 14th and La Vista on June 21st.  Eight people were arrested for soliciting, ten arrested for prostitution, two for theft, one for narcotics possession and one on an outstanding misdemeanor warrant. 

We are grateful for the partnerships we have with our state and local law enforcement partners, as this would not have been possible without them” Special Agent in Charge Randall Thysse said. “Through our collaborative efforts, we will continue to aggressively pursue those that engage in these types of heinous activities and ensure we bring them to an end.”

The FBI Child Exploitation Task Force includes law enforcement officers from the FBI, Omaha Police Department, Council Bluffs Police Department, La Vista Police Department, Douglas County Sheriff’s Office, Lincoln Police Department, and Nebraska State Patrol.
