It is going to be a trip of a lifetime for one father/son duo from Mississippi as they make the trek to Omaha for the College World Series.
Earlier this week, Matt Lea surprised his dad Billy with an early Father's Day present, some new Mississippi State swag and tickets to the College World Series. Lea's father has battled Alzheimer's for nearly a decade and Matt wanted to make sure he could make some memories with his father while he has the chance.
The elder Lea played baseball for Mississippi State in his younger days, and Matt says they have bonded over America's pastime. The Lea's are expected to hit Omaha on Friday, just in time to watch their Bulldogs take the field on Saturday.
