A Council Bluffs woman is behind bars after allegedly hitting a man with her car while drunk.
Council Bluffs Police say just before 2:00 Friday morning officers were called to the American Inn near 24th Street and I-80 for a reported assault.
While on the way to the hotel, officers were informed that 31 year old Bridget Wilson had struck a man with her vehicle. Wilson also allegedly crashed her vehicle into the victim’s vehicle, pushing it into the building causing minor damage.
When officers arrived, Wilson fled the scene in her vehicle with officers hot on her heels. Officers were able to get the vehicle to stop and took Wilson into custody. She is facing charges of Operation While Intoxicated, Aggravated Assault Domestic Abuse, Eluding and Criminal Mischief 1st Degree.
The victim was treated by Council Bluffs Fire Department for his injuries but refused any further medical attention.
