Quik Trip Clerk Shot During Robbery Identified

Omaha Police say the convenience store clerk shot during a robbery early Wednesday morning is identified as 41 year old Thomas Foster.

Foster told police a man entered the QuikTrip at 60th and L around 3:30 a.m. armed with a handgun and demanded cash. The suspect got angry and fired one shot,  hitting the victim in the arm when he was unable to open the safe.

The suspect got some cash from the clerk and fled the store.  Foster was transported to Bergan Mercy hospital to be treated for a non-life threatening injury.   The only description police have of the suspect is a black male who was wearing dark clothing.

The investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information is urged to contact Omaha Crime Stoppers at 444-STOP.  Anyone who provides information that leads to the identification and arrest of the suspect is eligible for a $10,000 reward.
