Bellevue Police have confirmed that a body found in the Missouri River near Plattsmouth Friday night is that of Jennifer Norton. She had been missing since her husband confessed to killing her on June 5.
Sarpy County officials had been searching the river for the 32 year old Norton. Her husband, Brandon Norton, turned himself in to authorities on June 5th saying he had murdered Jennifer.
Bellevue Police say Brandon Norton told officers that he killed Jennifer during a domestic disturbance in their Bellevue home on the night of June 4th and he told them he had dropped her body into the Missouri River from the Highway 34 Bridge.
Boaters found the body floating in the water Friday night. Her body was recovered around 9:30
An autopsy is scheduled for Saturday morning.
