Two Men Indicted For Large Nebraska Fentanyl Bust

The U-S Attorney for Nebraska announced indictments Thursday morning against two New jersey men in a record-setting drug bust in Nebraska.

Joe Kelly was joined by Governor Pete Ricketts at the Omaha news conference.  The drug seizure happened April 26th during a traffic stop on Interstate 80 near Kearney. A 118 pounds of fentanyl was seized, which was a record amount for the state of Nebraska.

The driver of the truck, 46 year old Felipe Genao-Minaya, and his passenger, 52 year old Nelson Nicholas Nunez-Acosta of New Jersey were arrested for possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver and no Drug Tax stamp.

Rob Patterson, the Acting Administrator of the Drug Enforcement Administration said, "The educated public is really our best line of defense." He said Nebraska doesn't have the kind of problem that other states do but it is here. "We're doing our best efforts to help stay on top of those problems."
