The FBI's Omaha office is looking for the best of the best to serve their country and community.
As part of the FBI’s commitment to attract highly skilled and diverse talent, the FBI Omaha Field Office will host a Diversity Agent Recruitment Event on June 12, 2018. The event is part of an initiative aimed at reaching applicants with a variety of backgrounds to better diversify the FBI. FBI Special Agents and support staff will be at the event to discuss the many career paths available.
Threats in our nation have become increasingly complex and global and having individuals with a wide variety of backgrounds, and knowledge of cultures and languages helps the FBI better understand and engage the diverse public they serve. Bureau officials say diversity also enables them to effectively investigate national security and criminal threats, while preserving civil liberties.
Special Agent in Charge of the FBI in Omaha, Randall Thysse, says this recruiting campaign is open to citizens of the United States of all backgrounds. “Our organization, and its workforce, need to reflect the communities which we serve. Diversity is key to our success as we continue to attract the talent we need as an organization to fulfill the mission of the FBI.”
In order to attend this event, candidates interested in the special agent position must apply online at www.FBIJobs.gov then click “Apply to Jobs,” search “DAR,” and click on “DAR Omaha Talent Network,” then read the job summary instructions and click “START.”
