Douglas County Sheriff's Make Fentanyl Bust

18 1/4 pounds of suspected fentanyl is off the streets due to the efforts of the Douglas County Sheriff's Office.  They also discovered 1 1/2 pounds of suspected heroin last Friday.  The Sheriff's Office is not releasing the location and nature of the where the drugs were located but say that 44 year old Timothy White of Los Angeles, California was arrested and booked on suspicion of possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, criminal conspiracy and failure to affix a tax stamp.

The Sheriff's Office says this is a significant seizure given the dangerous nature of fentanyl.  It only takes 2 to 3 milligrams of fentanyl to cause a person to go into respiratory arrest.

Officials say the nature of the contact with White is not being disclosed due to the sensitive nature of the on-going investigation.
