Traffic was shut down on westbound I-80 Friday afternoon after an RV was engulfed in flames under the 10th Street bridge.
The intense flames caused heavy smoke near the bridge and in a nearby neighborhood. State troopers closed the inside westbound lane of I-80 near 13th Street. The Council Bluffs Fire Department was called into assist.
A gutted shell of the RV was left after the flames were extinguished. The fire remains under investigation. There are no reports of any injuries.
