Suspect Identified In Deadly Hit And Run Crash

Omaha Police have identified a suspect in a deadly hit and run crash that claimed the life of a two year old boy. 

Around 5:45 Monday evening emergency crews were called to Fontenelle Blvd. and Curtis Ave. for a personal injury collision. Traffic investigators say a Buick Lucerne was northbound on Fontenelle when the passenger side of the sedan was hit by a westbound Chevy Trailblazer. The driver of the SUV and a passenger both fled from the vehicle on foot. 

Two year old Devon Morris suffered critical injuries to his head and chest in the crash. Family members say Morris died the next day after being removed from life support. 

On Thursday, a felony arrest warrant was issued for 24 year old Davionne Collier in connection to the crash. Collier is facing charges of Leaving the Scene of an Injury Accident Resulting in Death, Willful Reckless Driving and Driving Under Suspension.

Collier is described as a black male, 6'1, 190 pounds with black hair and brown eyes.
