Omaha Police say 2-year-old boy critically injured in a hit and run crash on Monday evening was died. Devon Morris was among the three injured passengers of a vehicle that was hit near Fontenelle Blvd and Curtis.
Morris and a five-year-old child were not in safety seats in the backseat when the crash occurred around 5:30 p.m.
Mar'keshia Devers was driving her Buick Lucerne north on Fontenelle Blvd. through a green light at Curtis Ave. when a 2004 Chevy Trailblazer hit the passenger side of her car. Witnesses confirmed that Devers had the green light.
Police said the driver and a passenger in the Trailblazer ran from the crash, westbound on Curtis Ave. The other victims have been identified as 16-year-old Talesha Glover-Flakes and five-year-old Stephen Russell. Glover-Flakes suffered a head injury that is considered non-life threatening. Russell suffered a broken leg.
