Pottawattamie County Court House Evacuated After Threat

The Pottawattamie County Courthouse in Council Bluffs was evcuated just before 9:00 Friday morning after someone called in a bomb threat.

"The clerk of courts office received a bomb threat at 8:52.  The phone call was that there was en explosive device within the building," says Pottawattamie County Sheriff's Chief Deputy John Reynolds.

Reynolds says the Sheriff's Office, Council Bluffs Police and the Omaha Bomb Unit teamed up for a search of the courthouse. "We did not find anything," Reynolds said.

The courthouse was back to normal operations about an hour later. Reynolds says the call had been traced and they have leads on a suspect.
