Bentley Dealership Moving Into The Metro

The former home of a west Omaha wine bar is getting a new tenant.

When the wine store and bar Brix closed more than a year, the corner of the Village Pointe shopping center where it sat looked like a ghost town. Beauty Brands next door has business, but extra foot traffic dwindled. Then a few weeks ago, the salon and spa started getting someone else's mail.

April Franks with Beauty Brands tells 6 News she was excited to get the mail. Franks was excited because the package was addressed to an ultra-high-end car dealership. The building next door would no longer be empty.

Who could the new neighbor next door to Beauty Brands be? Jason Pittack with Woodhouse Auto Family told 6 News it was something new for them, and Omaha. "This is completely out of the box – even for us. It's a big deal for Omaha." It's out of the box because it's a Bentley dealership. Bentley will be the newest addition to the Woodhouse Auto Family.

Pittack says the luxury cars aren't something they're used to, but it will be a great expansion for them. He says the high-end vehicles will cost a pretty penny though. "Your typical Bentley will be in the $180k range…and go up to $450k."

Experts say a Bentley dealership gives more stature to an area – that can only help sell other businesses and companies to move or stay here. Even, Kansas City doesn't have one.

There are fifteen pre-orders for Bentleys already and the dealership isn't even slated to open December 1st.

There are also plans to put in a high-end restaurant in the space next door and the owners believe they can get fifteen or sixteen Bentleys inside the building on the showroom floor.
