A nineteen year old is recovering after being shot Sunday night.
Officers were called to the scene near 43rd and Emmet just after 8:00 for a report of shots fired. When police arrived, they found the scene littered with shell casings.
While at the scene, officers were advised that a victim, nineteen year old Anton Linear, had arrived at Nebraska Medical Center with a gunshot wound to the back. Witnesses told officers that Linear was shot while walking down the street.
Linear's wounds are considered non-life threatening. Authorities say the suspect vehicle is a new Jeep Cherokee with paper dealer plates. Anyone with information about the incident should contact Crime Stoppers at 444-STOP.
The shooting remains under investigation.
