There were some tense moments outside the Walmart Neighborhood Market near 25th and Capehart Friday afternoon. Police say a woman armed with a gun was threatening suicide inside a vehicle that was in the parking lot around 3:00.
The woman told investigators she was having a bad day and had a handgun in her car. No one else was inside the vehicle. Sarpy County Emergency Service Unit was called to assist and negotiators were able to talk the woman into giving up.
Walmart was placed on lockdown for about an hour. Customers were not allowed to leave and arriving customers were kept away.
The woman was checked out by medics at the scene
