Motorcyclist Killed In Crash Near Neola, Iowa

Pottawattamie County officials say a motorcyclist died Thursday after a collision near Neola, Iowa. Emergency crews were called to County Road L34 and Whippoorwill Road around 7:50 p.m. Thursday. 

Authorities say preliminary investigations indicate that a southbound Dodge Ram was on County Road L-34 pulling an empty livestock trailer. As the truck slowed to make a left turn on to Whippoorwill Road the motorcycle, driven by 26 year old Adam Blake of Omaha, hit the trailer being pulled behind the truck.     

LifeNet was requested and then called off when officials confirmed the male motorcyclist died at the scene. The cause of the accident remains under investigation.
