Bellevue Bank Robbery Suspect Leaves Empty Handed

Bellevue police are looking for a man who tried to rob the Wells Fargo bank near 36th and Highway 370 just after 10:00 Tuesday morning.

Police say the masked man walked in, pulled a handgun and demanded cash.  The tellers were safely protected behind bullet-resistant glass and failed to give him the money.  The empty handed gunman turned around and left the bank.

Police do not have a description of a getaway vehicle.  Police and the FBI are continuing to investigate. Anyone with information about the crime or the suspect is asked to call Bellevue Police at 402-293-3100 or Sarpy County Crimestoppers at 402-592-STOP (7867).
