Creighton Standout Will Head To NBA Draft

Creighton basketball standout Khyri Thomas will not be returning to the university to finish out his senior year.

On Sunday, Thomas said after much deliberation and soul searching, he will remain in the 2018 NBA draft. Thomas says he will hire an agent and forego his senior year in order to live out his dreams. “It’s something I really wanted to do, chase my dream.”

Thomas says he took his time with the decision, but kept coming back to the same end result. “I didn’t want to rush it, but I didn’t want to wait too long. I think right now is the right time for me.”

Thomas will head to Chicago this week to join the NBA combine which starts Wednesday. The defensive star is projected to be drafted in the first round.
