A Papillion motorcyclist has died from injuries he sustained in a Friday evening crash.
Omaha Police say just after 5:00, emergency crews responded to a crash reported at 84th and Grover. Authorities say a Dodge Avenger was stopped at a light on southbound 84th Street at Grover. When the light turned green, the Avenger turned left onto eastbound Grover, thinking it was safe to go. While turning, the passenger side of the Avenger was struck by a northbound Suzuki motorcycle.
The driver of the motorcycle, 23 year old Austin Mort, was transported to Bergan Mercy in critical condition. Mort later died from his injuries and an autopsy will be conducted. No one in the Avenger reported any injuries.
The crash remains under investigation and any witnesses to this crash are asked to call the Omaha Police Accident Unit at 402-444-5626.
