More Reports Of Assault Against Recycling Center Employee

More reports of sexual assault are being leveraged against a man already behind bars for illicit acts.

Another woman has come forward saying she was sexually assaulted by a now former employee at an Omaha recycling center, and her case appears to be the most serious one yet.

Edwardo Fierro is currently behind bars, accused of four other sexual assaults. He hasn't been charged in this case yet because the police report was just made Wednesday. The woman filing the report claims she was raped by Fierro.

The woman says a doctor put her on medication to help her relax because she’s been depressed and stressed the last eleven months because of the assault.

The assault allegedly happened in June 2017 when she says she was babysitting children at Edwardo Fierro’s home near 42nd and Binney. She says he asked her to get diapers in the bedroom and that’s when he threw her in the bed and raped her. She says Fierro threatened her with a gun so she didn’t want to tell anyone in order to protect her family.

After the alleged assault, the woman and her son went to drop off scrap at Alter Metal Recycling Center where she was surprised to see Edwardo working. She says at that time he tried to assault her again, but was unsuccessful. but she soon learned from our reports in March. Edwardo was arrested in March for allegedly assaulting three other women there.

Investigators believe more women may have been targeted and any victims are urged to contact the OPD Special Victims unit at 402-444-5636.
