A minivan hit a house in South Omaha overnight, and one person in the vehicle was taken to the hospital in serious condition.
The crash was near 20th and Railroad Ave. around 1:15 A.M. Other people in the van reportedly ran from the scene.
Crews from the Metropolitan Utilities District were called in to shut off a gas line to the house that was damaged.
At the same time, power crews shut down electricity to the place; the occupants of the house safely escaped.
The investigation continues.
