Four People Wounded In Drive-By Shooting

Shots rang out in an Omaha neighborhood Wednesday afternoon and four people were wounded. Omaha Police say the four were the victims of a drive-by shooting around 2:30 near 48th and Boyd, just south of Ames Avenue and west of Fontenelle Park

"Initially it came out as two victims," says Captain Mark Matuza.  "We ended up finding four.  Of course, when your shot you usually don't stay put, especially if they're continuing to shoot."  Matuza says the other two victims walked up to police after they arrived.

One of the four victims was critically wounded and suffered life-threatening injuries.   All of them were standing outside the Lindenwood Court Apartments when they were shot.

Police believe there may have been more than one vehicle involved, although they don't have any details on the suspects.  They are questioning witnesses for additional information.
