Methodist Health System has a new and convenient way for women to get important check-ups. A new 3D mobile mammography bus will hit the streets this summer and will make mammograms more accessible and convenient.
"Nebraska has ranked about 40th in the states for breast screenings and we really want to improve those numbers and now we know we have a tool to do so," says Methodist's Sharlon Rodgers.
Appointments inside the coach will take about 15 minutes. Rodgers says they are working with community organizations and businesses to set up appointments.
More than $600,000 was raised to pay for the coach. Methodist is hoping to have the coach up and ready to run by mid-to-late summer. To schedule an appointment call 402-354-8923.
