Man Dies Nine Months After Lincoln House Explosion

A Lincoln man has died nine months after his Lincoln home exploded. On Friday, Lincoln Police confirmed that 66 year old Jimmy Jasa died on Wednesday while in hospice care.

Jasa succumbed to his injuries sustained during the explosion at 5601 South 78th Street on August 14, 2017. His wife Jeanne died from her injuries on August 29th while being treated in the burn unit of St. Elizabeth's hospital.

The Lancaster County Attorney has ordered an autopsy and the investigation is ongoing as what exactly happened is still a mystery. Police officials said in August that the incident was being evaluated as a criminal investigation until that scenario can be ruled out. An external gas leak was ruled out by fire inspectors after the explosion.
