Thousands of people from across the world will be calling Omaha home this weekend during the annual Berkshire Hathaway Shareholders Meeting.
Like last year, CenturyLink Center will be enforcing bag-size restrictions. Bags and backpacks must be 19 inches tall, by 14 inches long and 12 inches wide or smaller. Officials say this is not a clear bag event, but walk-through metal detectors will be in use. The bag-size restrictions will be in place Friday for “Shopping Day”, and Saturday during the meeting with Warren Buffett and Charlie Munger.
Anyone who arrives with a bag larger than the guidelines, including luggage, will have the option to “check” their bags at a box-truck provided by Clark Security at the north, exterior end of the building. This service will only be provided during Saturday’s meeting and not on Friday.
To ensure a safe environment for all guests, shareholders may be asked to display the contents of clothing and purses. CenturyLink officials say the prohibited list will be strictly enforced.
