Papillion Police say an 82 year old man has been arrested for sexually assaulting a child. Police say Eugene Schneekloth was arrested for several incidents of sexual assault dating back to 2011-2012.
Investigators say during this time a juvenile girl was assaulted while helping out with a daycare operated by Schneekloth's wife. "She is to be credited for coming forward now, long after the assault and through this investigation we were able to make the arrest," says Deputy Chief Chris Whitted.
The investigation is ongoing and information on Janet Schneekloth Day Care has been referred to the Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services and Child Protective Services for investigation.
