New Charges Expected In Deadly Cement Truck Crash

New charges are expected for the concrete driver involved in a deadly traffic accident last October.

20 year old Austin Holloway was driving the cement truck that overturned at 120th and Giles Road and crushed a car. The driver and passenger in the car were both killed instantly.

The Deputy Sarpy County Attorney told 6 News two misdemeanor Motor Vehicle Homicide charges will be filed against Holloway on Tuesday.

Holloway had originally faced felony charges for the crash but those were dismissed last month. Sarpy County Judge Todd Hutton had said that the truck was carrying a full load and was overweight at the time of the crash.

He said there was no evidence of reckless driving and evidence of the speed in which the truck was traveling at the time of the crash was inconsistent.
