A Council Bluffs man was seriously injured in a motorcycle crash on I-80 near 60th Street around 7:00 Monday night.
Investigators say a 2014 Harley Davidson motorcycle was traveling westbound at a high rate of speed and the rider lost control. The motorcycle slid on its side until it struck a metal marker pole that was in the median at the beginning of the 60th Street off-ramp.
Police say 45 year old David Hovey, who was wearing at D.O.T helmet, was transported to Nebraska Medicine with serious chest injuries. Investigators say he will survive.
Charges are pending in the crash. The 60th St off-ramp was closed for about three hours during the investigation.
