Bodycam Video Shows Moments Before Deadly Shooting

The Boone, Iowa Police Department has released bodycam video of a deadly officer involved shooting from Saturday night. Authorities say officers shot a man after they responded to a domestic disturbance call.

Police Chief John Wiebold says a woman called 911 saying her boyfriend was drunk and assaulting her and her elderly mother.

When police attempted to enter the home, 48-year-old Timothy Anderson ran out of the house holding a knife. Boone officers attempted to retreat while Anderson charged at officers. Officers told Anderson to drop the knife before they fired their weapons.

Anderson was pronounced dead at the scene.  The officers involved with the shooting have been placed on paid administrative leave pending the outcome of the investigation.
