Dodge County authorities in are searching for two men who tried to steal an ATM machine from a bank in North Bend.
It happened around 4:00 Monday morning at the Platte Valley Bank. Investigators say the two men pulled the ATM from inside the bank building using a tow rope attached to a pickup truck.
The ATM has 24-hour access and was located inside the south side of the bank near U.S. Highway 30. The Sheriff's Office said the men, who were wearing hooded sweatshirts pulled tight around their faces, were unable to load the ATM into the pickup and left it lying outside the bank. No money was missing.
Investigators say the men left the scene in a dark blue or black Chevy 4 X 4 pickup. Anyone with information about is asked to call 402-727-2700. A message can also be left on the Sheriff's Office Facebook page.
